Full Description

NMRS Report: (22/07/2004)
NH33SE 27.02 3980 3088

In the middle of an improved field there are five buildings and a fragmentary enclosure. Aligned roughly ENE and WSW, the buildings are reduced to little more than footings. They range in size from 9.6m to 17.3m in length and from 4.6m to 6.1m in breadth over faced-rubble footings. These are 0.85m to 0.9m in thickness where the facings are visible, and about 0.3 to 0.4m in height. Two have entrances on the SSE or SE (URQ97 445 and 446), of which the former has an outshot 5.3m in length on the ENE and a drain cut around the NNW (URQ97 445). Only two of these buildings (URQ97 448 and 449) are depicted on the 1st edition OS 6-inch map, of which that to the extreme W of the site (URQ97 449) is roofed (Inverness-shire 1876, sheet xxviii).
