Kyle Rhea, Skye, 22nd Oct., the WILLIAM AKINS (brigtne.), of Belfast (Off. No. 36,244), Haggen, from Scrabster to the Clyde, with pavement, got becalmed in the sound here, 18th Oct., and drifted on the rocks North of the ferry, where she remains, with the tide flowing in and out of her: the sails, stores, and running gear, have been landed, and if the weather keep moderate the cargo may be all saved. [Record received incomplete].
NMRS, MS/829/69 (no. 3848).

(Classified as brigantine, with cargo of pavement: date of loss cited as 18 October 1872). This vessel stranded on rocks North of the ferry at Kyleakin. Capt. Haggan.
