NLO: Wick [name: ND 362 508].

Wick, 7th Aug. 'A yawl, 15 feet long, maked 'WILLIAM COOKSON' inside the stern, was picked up at sea 31st ult.'

The map sheet assigned to this record is arbitrary, being derived from the location of the reporting point. It is unclear whether the yawl was the parent vessel or the tender. The vessel may have been recovered beyond Scottish waters.
The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998).
