Full Description

NMRS Report: (24/06/2004)
NH53SW 52 52484 31878

A subrectangular hut has been built on a platform dug into the S bank of an unnamed tributary of the Drumbuie Burn. The hut measures 2.9m from E to W by 1.7m internally. The secluded location and the ready availability of water suggest that it may have been a still. The farmer at Wester Achtuie (Mr Fraser) stated that there was a local tradition of a still in the locality.
