Wick, 3rd May, Belgian fishing smack, No. O.50, abandoned in this bay: likely to hold at anchorage: crew saved.

Wick, 3rd May, the ST MARTIN, of Ostend, Bernhard, which was lying in the bay this afternoon, drove ashore during a strong breeze from SW, and will become a wreck: crew saved. [Report received incomplete].

NMRS, MS/829/69 (no. 3799).

(Classified as fishing smack: registration number cited as O 50 and date of loss as 3 May 1872). The vessel was abandoned in Wick Bay, driven ashore, and wrecked. Capt. Bernhard.
