Full Description
A group of about 6 ruined shielings lies upon both banks of the Allt Beinn na Boineide.
The shielings, of earth and stone construction, are reduced to rather shapeless green mounds; but some have circular depressions in the top and some walling visible. There are both single and double cell types. Visited by OS (ASP) 8 May 1961.
There are two groups of shielings and two outliers on branches of the upper reaches of the Allt Beinn na Boineide, spread over some 600m from E to W and 400m from N to S on either side of the Portree road.
