Dundee, 18th Dec., a small sloop from Portmahomack, trading in coal between Bora [Brora] and Dornoch, was dashed ashore during the gale of 15th Dec., a little to the west of Tain, and wrecked: crew saved.

The location suggested this record is essentially tentative. The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998).
