Full Description

NG23NW 3 2447 3780.

At NG 2447 3780, on the lower SE facing slopes of Ben Idrigill at 650ft OD there are 9 ruined shielings in an angle of a small burn. They are of twin-cell type but are reduced to turf-covered mounds.
Visited by OS (A S P) 12 May 1961; visible on RAF air photographs CPE/Scot/UK/175: 1004-5.

Previously recorded at grid ref. NG 2447 3780, updated and corrected with information from Orbost Estate Survey (1998), M Wildgoose. Site no. 120, eight shielings were reocrded.
