A brick and concrete type 24 pillbox is situated immediately S of the Inverness to Wick railway and S of what is annotated on the OS 1:10000 scale map (1990) as the 'Schwappach Belt'.
In addition a WW II 'Dannert' concertina barbed-wire fence was also noted behind this pillbox.

This site was noted during ARCH's Evanton Wartime Remains project in 2013. It was described as a well preserved type 24 pillbox by the railway. Two embrasures had been blocked up, one by the doorway and one facing the railway. It was outside the perimeter fencing. Contributors: Catriona Fraser, Alan Kinghorn <3>
