NLO: Point of Stoer [name: NC 022 356]
Lochinver [name: NC 093 225].

Loch Inver [Lochinver], Sept. 28, 8.50 a.m., Norwegian barque REACHED (?RACHEL), 235 tons, master N. Aamoodt, from Ayr for Christiania (coal laden), was abandoned 10 miles off Stour Head [Point of Stoer] in a sinking condition: crew (nine hands) saved by ship's boats, and landed at Stour Head Lighthouse at 12 midnight on 24th.

Loch Inver [Lochinver], Sept. 27, RACHEL, Norwegian barque, Aamodt, from Ayr for Christiania [Oslo] (coal), was the vessel abandoned in a sinking condition (not the REACHED, as telegraphed). [Record received incomplete].
