EXCELSIOR, 76 tons, White, from Thurso for Whitehaven, with cargo of flash (?flax), is ashore in Loch Bay, near Dunvegan, Isle of Skye. (Dunvegan, Oct. 3, 9.20 a.m.).

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), suggesting that she was successfully recovered.
