NMRS Report: (04/02/2005)
NF90SE 8002 unlocated

The WAACKFAMKIET, Marguard, from Liverpool to Dantzig [Gdansk], is lost off the Highlands of Scotland.
Source: The Marine List, LL, No. 4108, London, Friday December 5 1800.
NMRS, MS/829/70 (no. 5441).

(No classification or cargo specified: date of loss cited as December 1800). Waacksamkiet: coast of Scotland (Liverpool to Danzig). Highland coast. Capt. Marguard.
(Location of loss cited as N57 0 W7 0).
I G Whittaker 1998.

The map sheet and quasi-administrative area assigned to this record are essentially arbitrary, being derived from the location of loss cited by Whittaker. The cited route of the vessel makes it probable that the vessel was lost to the West of the country; it remains uncertain whether she stranded or foundered.
Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 4 February 2005.
