This disused gravel-pit is situated immediately E of the Lybster to Watten public road, some 390m SW of the Loch of Camster. Roughly oval on plan, the pit measures 14m from NNW to SSE by 7m transversely and is dug into the foot of the W-facing slope to a depth of 1.3m.
