This disused gravel-pit is situated immediately E of the Lybster to Watten public road, some 400m SW of the Loch of Camster. Roughly rectangular on plan, the pit measures 9.5m from NNW to SSE by 4.5m transversely and is dug into the foot of the W-facing slope to a depth of 1m. There is a large boulder in the NW corner of the pit.
