What are probably the remains of a shallow peat-cutting are situated towards the N end of the summit of the Hill of Ulbster some 300m N of the abandoned radar station ND34SW 290. Roughly square on plan, the cutting measures about 12m from NNW to SSE by 11m transversely and about 0.4m in depth. The cutting, and another immediately to the NW, were previously interpreted as enclosures (Mercer 1985, 258, no. 205c & d),
