This disused quarry is situated on the steep E flank of the Hill of Ulbster 465m NNW of Mains of Ulbster farmsteading (ND34SW 304). Roughly oval on plan, but largely obscured by gorse and flag irises, the quarry measures about 18.8m from NW to SE by 7m transversely and it has been dug into the slope on the W to a depth of 1.8m.
