This disused quarry is situated in a field of pasture 30m S of the ruins of Ellensgoe farmsteading (ND34SW 176). It measures 18.6m from NE to SW by 5m transversely and up to 1.5m in depth on the NW, where bedrock is visible. The interior is now grass-grown and contains field-cleared stones and boulders that have been tipped into it from the W.
