This grass-grown quarry, which is situated in an area of pasture about 330m SSE of Mill Farm, measures up to 11.5m from NW to SE by 9.5m transversely and it has been dug into a NE-facing slope to a depth of 1m. What are either two short lengths of stone wall or linear field-clearance are respectively situated along the lip of the quarry on the SW and within its interior on the SE. The quarry is not depicted on either the 1st or 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxix; 1907, sheet xxix).
