ND34SW 323 32076 42525

This disused sandstone quarry is situated in rough pasture about 410m SSW of Whiteleen farmsteading (ND34SW 126). Irregular on plan, it measures about 19.5m from N to S by up to 4.5m transversely and 0.7m in depth on the W. The quarry is not depicted on either the 1st or 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxix; 1907, sheet xxix).
