This disused quarry, which is depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1907, sheet xxix), is situated at the E edge of an extensive area of rough pasture about 150m N of the house called Burnt Hill. Now filled in, its site is marked by several dumps of stone and earth.
