Full Description

NMRS Report: (18/05/2006)
ND34SW 373 ND 30581 40209

This building is situated at the foot of a steep, S-facing slope 150m NNW of the ruined farmstead ND34SW 371. It measures about 10m from E to W by 4m internally, its rear defined by a scarp some 0.5m high where the interior has been dug into the slope on the N. Much of the wall along the S side appears to have been removed and elsewhere it is reduced to a low spread of rubble. A small outshot, measuring 4.5m from N to S by 4.2m transversely overall, is attached to the E end of the N side of the building. The building is not depicted on either the 1st or 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxix; 1907, sheet xxix).
