Full Description

NMRS Report: (18/05/2006)
ND34SW 382 ND 32124 40713

This disused quarry is situated at the S end of a low ridge 25m W of an un-named farmsteading (ND34SW 383). Roughly oval on plan, it measures about 14.5m from NE to SW by 5.3m transversely and 1.2m in depth; a rusty water pipe emerges from the exposed rock-face on the N side of the quarry above a patch of cobbling, and may indicate that a trough once stood on this spot.
