This disused, partly water-filled, quarry is situated immediately below the W side of the farm road to Oliclett, some 240m NE of Blackhill farmsteading (ND34SW 83). Roughly oval on plan, it measures about 11m from E to W by 5m transversely and at least 2m in depth on the E. The quarry is depicted on both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1876, sheet xxix; 1907, sheet xxix).
