Full Description

NMRS Report: (23/05/2006 14:52:38)
ND34SW 440 ND 32595 43685

Little is now visible of this quarry, which stood immediately W of Lineside farmsteading (ND34SW 439). It was not only obliquely overlain by the track bed of the now disused Wick to Lybster light railway (ND34SW 501), but its northern part is now occupied by a silage-pit, and its southern part has been landscaped and incorporated into the modern steading. The quarry is first depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1907, sheet xxix).
