This farmstead, which is situated in a cultivated field 350m SE of Upper Thrumster farmsteading (ND 34354 45979), comprises a range, the E end of which has been removed. The surviving portion measures 7.7m from E to W by 5.3m transversely over clay-bonded stone walls 0.6m in thickness and standing to wall-head height. In the S wall there is a blocked doorway and a blocked window, whilst there is another blocked doorway at the S end of the wall that was once a partition wall but now defines the E end of the surviving remains. The central part of the W gable of the range has been removed and replaced by a doorway 2.5m in width. The range is depicted roofed on both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1876, sheet xxx; 1907, sheet xxx),
