This disused quarry is situated on the S bank of the Swartigill Burn, 160m W of where the burn is crossed by the minor public road that runs from Thrumster to Tannach. Grass-grown and roughly oval on plan, the quarry measures 6.7m from NE to SW by 4.9m transversely and it has been dug into the slope on the SE to a depth of 1.5m. There is a small area of exposed rock visible in the interior and a low upcast bank on the NW.
