Full Description

NG26SW 1.14 234 646.

There are extensive areas (8 to 10 hectares) of lazy-bed ridging in the area between Dun Gearymore and the sea-cliffs to the W, mostly to the W of the track to Unish. Some of this is contained within globular enclosures, defined by earth and stone field-banks. Several of the fields have been ploughed flat in more recent times and display broadly spaced plough-grooves, in particular the field crossed by the track to Unish 150m to the W of the broch at NG 2350 6480. This same field has several heaps of stone clearance towards its NE side.
Visited by RCAHMS (PJD) 28 September 1990.
