NMRS, MS/829/71 (no. 7471).
(No classification or cargo specified: date of loss cited as 13 May 1839). Unknown: mast and wreckage at Strathy Point.
(Location of loss cited as N58 36.0 W4 1.0).
I G Whittaker 1998.
The location, map sheet and quasi-administrative area assigned to this record are arbitrary, being derived from the location of discovery of wreckage. It remains unclear whether or not this wreckage represents the loss of a vessel, or is simply a fallen mast. If lost, the vessel presumably foundered out at sea, possibly beyond Scottish waters.
The date cited by Whittaker is presumably that of report, rather than loss.
