Stromness, 28th Sept. `The LAVINIA, from Castlehill to Glasgow, was abandoned off Cape Wrath this morning, in a sinking state.'

(Classified as smack, with cargo of flagstones: date of loss cited as 25 September 1839). Lavinia: this vessel was abandoned, sinking, off Cape Wrath. Capt. Jenkins.
Registration: Inverness. Built 1839. 45 tons burthern. Length: 13m. Beam: 5m.
