Full Description

NMRS Report: (26/09/2005)
NM56SW 24 5211 6314

A stone structure was recorded here during a field survey of part of the Ardnamurchan Estate on the N shore of Loch Sunart, North Argyll. It is roughly-built and poorly preserved, and is rectangular, measuring 6.6m x 4.8m externally. It is situated on a small level spur of land in a woodland enclosure. The remaining walls, now a spread of tumbled stones, measure 0.85m wide by 0.45m high. Several oak trees are growing within the structure. It may have been a woodworker's hut, associated with the woodland management in the area.
