Full Description

NMRS Report: (26/09/2005)
NM56SW 29 5233 6302

A small, well-built and well-preserved, cell-like structure was recorded here during a field survey of part of the Ardnamurchan Estate on the N shore of Loch Sunart, North Argyll. it is almost triangular in plan and measures 3m x 2m x 1.3m. The roughly-coursed walls have a steep batter, narrowing from 0.6m to 0.4m at the top, and survive to a height of 1.05m. Access appears to have been through a gap, 0.55m wide in the NE corner. The structure may have been some kind of shelter.
