Possibly on map sheets NC14NE, NC15SE, NC24NW or NC25SW.
Thurso, 15th Aug. `The PHOENIX, from Peterhead to Liverpool, in beating up Loch Laxford 4th inst., during a gale from the West, missed stays, went on shore, and sunk, and now lies several feet below water; crew, & cargo, saved.'
