Full Description

NMRS Report: (15/11/2005)
NG53NE 173 5866 3534 (centred)

A small sub-rectangular enclosure was recorded here during a field survey of the Suisnish area of Raasay by ACFA, who have conducted surveys on the island every year since 1995. Three lengths of walling make up the enclosure, 16m , 9m and 6m in length. They only survive to a height of 0.2m and are spread to 0.8m. It is thought the enclosure was a small field, used to grow potatoes and fertilised by seaweed from the shore below.
