NMRS Report: (22/11/2005)
NN58NE 21 5764 8980
Located on a small summit within a forest plantation a small cairn was recorded, during a detailed archaeological survey of Strathmashie Community Forest near Laggan, Highland. The survey was carried out to assess the evidence for past human use and to ascertain whether there was enough archaeology to develop a heritage trail in the forest. The cairn is 1.1m in diameter at its base and is 1m high and tapers towards the top. It is constructed of large boulders at the base with smaller cobbles on top.
