Full Description
NMRS Report: (24/11/2005)
NN59SE 64 5878 9065
Situated within a gentle slope in a pine forest, the remains of a structure were recorded during a detailed archaeological survey of Strathmashie Community Forest near Laggan, Highland. The structure measured 11m x 5m and was built in drystone. There appears to be a circular structure in one corner, 1.2m in diameter. The survey was carried out to assess the evidence for past human use and to ascertain whether there was enough archaeology to develop a heritage trail in the forest.
