Full Description

NMRS Report: (02/02/2006)
NM47NW 26 42158 78705

Two subrectangular buildings lie end-to-end on a low rise on a cultivated terrace to the N of Caisteal an Duin Bhain (NM47NW 2). The smaller of the two is the better preserved and measures 4.9m from ESE to WNW by 2.6m within a faced rubble wall 1.4m in thickness and 0.5m in height. It has rounded internal and external corners and the entrance in the NNE side is slightly offset towards the ESE end, where there is also an outshot with its entrance on the NNE. The larger building, which lies immediately to the WNW, has been reduced to little more than a grass-grown platform measuring 9.3m by 4.5m overall, the only visible remains of its wall being a short stretch of boulder footings on its SSW side. Field-clearance is scattered across the surface of the platform.
