Full Description

NMRS Report: (06/02/2006)
NM47NW 34 41674 78985, 41675 79081 and 41728 79078

Three peaty mounds lie in heather moorland at Blar na Fionn-aird. They range in size from 4.8m in diameter and 0.3m in height to 5.7m in diameter and 0.8m in height. Both the smallest and the largest mounds have a shallow hollow in the centre, but there is little to suggest that they are the remains of huts and they may be no more than natural features, reflecting irregularities in the surface below the peat.
