Thurso. Bridge over River Thurso, 1800 (Caithness) Burn was architect and contractor
(Edinburgh Evening Courant, Sept 4, 1800).
(Undated) information in NMRS.

The location assigned to this record remains unverified. The bridge appraently carried the public road leading E from Thurso (ND16NW 65) over the River Thurso on the SE side of the town.
This is presumably the Thurso Bridge [NAT] that is noted at the same location as the present bridge on the 1st edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (GIS, ep. 1).
Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 5 April 2006.
