Mucomir Cut [NAT] (name centred NN 1829 8419)
OS 1:10,000 map, 1992.

This deep rock channel was cut by Telford in 1813 to divert the waters of the River Lochy from their former channel to the SW of Loch Lochy (to the N) into the River Spean (to the S). Mucomir Bridge (NN18SE 10) was built across it, and it was subsequently used to supply a hydro-electric power station (NN18SE 22.00).
