Full Description

A 20m section of walling on the shore of Ob na Glaic Ruaidh was recorded here during a survey of the lands around Loch Torridon by the North of Scotland Archaeological Society (NOSAS). It is only exposed at very low tide and so therefore its role as a fish trap is put into doubt. It may have been used to contain water within a pool (although if under water most of the time this must surely have been unsuccessful). It is possible it has been reduced in height since it was in use or that sea level has risen slightly. <1>
