Full Description

NG96NE 5 96006 68445

A possible farmstead is located below the A832 road to Gairloch. Differential vegetation growth shows the outline of a large L-shaped structure, the main axis orientated from N to S. The square section measures approximately 8m by 7m, within a dividing wall. The additional structure measures approximately 3m by 5m and is built onto at the northern end, possibly by a sheepfold or barn. Another rectangular structure, measuring 9m by 3m, is located to the N close to the shores of Loch Maree, lying on an E to W orientation. This structure is has an internal sub-division, running N to S in its middle, and has been interpreted as a possible house. All measurements were taken internally.
