This limekiln, which is situated in rough ground at the edge of a cultivated field 330m S of Lettoch, has been set into a steep, SW-facing slope to a depth of 2m. The rectangular pot is marked by a grass- and weed-grown hollow measuring about 2.5m in width and 5.8m in length within a wall reduced to a stony bank up to 2.5m in thickness and 1m in height.
The kiln is not depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, sheet XLVIA), but it is shown, though not annotated, on the 2nd edition of the map (1902, sheet XLVIA).
