Full Description

NMRS Report: (21/02/2007 10:39:16)
NJ02NE 59 NJ 07167 27446

This building, which is situated in a field of rough pasture 230m NE of Rowanlea farmsteading (NJ02NE 58), has been heavily robbed; its NE gable and the NE end of the SE side have been removed and any remaining footings are obscured by piles of field-cleared stone. The surviving length of wall on the SE, which contains an entrance, measures up to 2m in height.
The building is first depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Elginshire 1905, sheet XXXIII.NW), but it was unroofed at that time.
Visited by RCAHMS (JRS) 28 September 2006.
