Scrabster, 27th Aug. The AID (smack), of Wick, from Newcastle to Thurso, with coals, in working up the Roads during the gale yesterday, was driven ashore on the Sands, but has apparently received little damage, and is expected off if the weather be moderate.

The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative.
The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), possibly confirming her successful recovery.
