Inverness, 25th Nov. The DARLING, McGregor, of and for this port from Hartlepool, with coals, was driven, from her anchors in the Firth during a violent gale 23rd Nov., went ashore on the Longman and is now nearly full of water.

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), possibly suggesting her successful recovery.
