Wick, 19th Mar. The JOHN DUNCAN (smack), of Banff, with meal, was driven on shore here from her moorings in the harbour, 5th Mar.: part of cargo being landed.

The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), presumably confirming her successful recovery.
