Montrose, 11th Mar. The MATILDA (schr.), of this port, McGill, from Bonar, has drifted ashore a little below the Manse of Creich, but though fast she does not appear to be much damaged.

The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Creich Old Manse (NH68NW 37.00) is at NH 6370 8936.
The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), possibly suggesting her successful reciovery.
