This farmstead is situated close to the S edge of an extensive area of bog on the W side of the Dorback Burn and comprises two buildings and an enclosure. The larger building, which stands in the N half of the enclosure, its N end close to the enclosure wall, measures up to 12.4m from N to S by 5.9m transversely over drystone walls that stand up to 0.7m in height. The second building, which stood in the NE corner of the enclosure, its E wall forming part of the circuit, has been reduced to little more than the footings of a single compartment.
Both buildings are depicted roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, sheet lx) and unroofed on the 2nd edition of the map (1902, sheet lx).
Visited by RCAHMS (AGCH) 10 August 2006.
