NJ02NW 101.01 01422 25720

This limekiln, which has been reduced to little more than a featureless spread of rubble, is set into an E-facing slope immediately SW of the steading at Upper Gaich (NJ02NW 101.00). The kiln is depicted on both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Elginshire 1874, sheet xxxii; 1905, sheet xxxii SE). On the later map it is annotated `Old Limekiln'.
