Full Description

NMRS Report: (12/01/2007 10:25:58)
NJ01SE 3 NJ 09863 14567

This building is situated in heather moorland on the E bank of the Allt Mor, some 90m NW of that burn¿s confluence with the Allt Slugan na Cloiche. Rectangular on plan, the building, which was partly obscured by thick bracken on the date of visit, measures 11.8m from NW to SE by 4.7m transversely over turf walls largely reduced to banks up to 2m in thickness and 1m in height. The stone footings of the SW wall are visible on both sides of the entrance. The function of two low banks that extend for a distance of about 3m from the SW side of the building, one on either side of the entrance, is not known. An outshot attached to the SE end of the building appears to be open to the SW.
